Roadmap for bourse merger

New Delhi, June 13: Based on Sebiís proposal, regional stock exchanges will draw up a roadmap tomorrow to either form a consolidated larger entity, IndoNext, or merge the trading platform with bigger bourses like BSE.

g committee constituted by Federation of Indian Stock Exchanges, having representations from 20 regional bourses, along with officials from BSE, OTCEI and Sebi would discuss this at a meeting tomorrow.

Berger net up

Calcutta, June 13: Berger Paintsí turnover in 2002-03 grew 11 per cent to Rs 668.4 crore. Its net profit in 2002-03 at Rs 33.65 crore was a little over 8 per cent higher than the previous year. The company announced a dividend of Rs 6 per share for the year.

Daksh plans

Bangalore, June 13: Daksh eServices, engaged in third-party business process outsourcing, plans to hire 900 people this year to ramp up its total headcount to over 4,500, said Pavan Vaish, co-founder and senior vice president. It also plans to set up a call centre in the Asia-Pacific.

IPCL move

Mumbai, June 13: Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd will increase production capacities of its PVC, naphtha, butadiene, benzene and other plants at Vadodara, a Reliance group release said.

A-I union

Mumbai, June 13: More than 150 pilots of Air-India have formed a new union and sought recognition from the management after the Indian Pilots Guild was derecognised following their agitation and refusal to fly to SARS affected areas and to Kuwait due to Iraq war.
