Karishma hearing

Calcutta, June 9: The copyright breach case slapped by author Barbara Taylor Bradford on Sahara Manoranjan TV will come up for hearing on June 13 in Calcutta High Court.

The Manhattan-based author has accused the television channel of plagiarising and basing the mega serial, Karishma The Miracles of Destiny, starring Karisma Kapoor, on her novel A Woman of Substance.

Sahara lawyers led by Shanti Bhushan today pleaded with Justice M.H.S. Ansari for an early hearing of the case on May 12, as the beaming of the serial has been stayed after the first episode, but Justice Ansari fixed June 13 for the hearing.
