Burdwan, June 6: The subdivisional judicial magistrate in Katwa today sentenced two men and two women to rigorous imprisonment for life in a kidnapping case.

Kajal Adhikary, Biswajit Mondol, Pushpa Adhikary and Krishna Adhikary were charged with planning and kidnapping a mentally-challenged youth in November.

The quartet had made calls to the jeweller father of Santanu Saha, 28, threatening that if he did not pay Rs 8 lakh, they would sell his kidneys.
