Shock defeat for top seed

Kozhikode: Four players, including IWM Bhagyasree Thipsay, were leading the table with three points each after Round 3 in the National Womenís B chess championship Sunday.

Others on three points were overnight joint leaders Anupama Gokhale, M. Priyadarshini and Keralaís Sandhya.

The highlight of the day was top seed Swati Ghateís shock defeat against Tamil Naduís Nabala Farheen. Bengalís Supriya Majhi held second seed Tania Sachdev. (PTI)
