Md. Sp. bag two titles

Calcutta: Mohammedan Sporting colts bagged a couple of cricketing laurels in Bangalore Sunday. According to information received here, the city team lifted the All-India Pepsi Cup beating Bangaloreís FAPíS by seven wickets in the under-15 final.

They also emerged champions in the Coca-Cola Cup under-17 meet. Rain stopped play midway into the final and Mohammedan Sporting were declared champions by the spin of coin.

- Under 17 (Pepsi Cup): St Patrick 146/8 in 30 ovs. Md. Sporting 124 in 22.3 ovs (Ankit Roy 52; V. Raman 4/26). St Patrick won by by 22 runs.

- Under 15 (Pepsi Cup): FAPíS (Bangalore) 139 in 28.2 ovs (Pratik Jain 3/26, Md. Irfan 3/25). Md. Sp. 141/3 in 24.2 ovs (Neelabho Chatterjee 60 n.o., Rashid Kamal 46 n.o.). Md. Sp won by 7 wkts.
