Bengal practice from Monday

Calcutta: The Bengal cricket team will resume practice from Monday. Though most of the senior players are away in England, the CAB authorities are inclined to have the ones available “as soon as possible”.

The decision was taken at a meeting between joint secretary Bablu Koley and the players at the CAB Thursday. Coach Sambaran Banerjee was also present.

The players will undergo a fitness programme at the newly-laid gymnasium at Pankaj Gupta Indoor Stadium. Bengal will also play in Buchi Babu and Moin-ud Dowlah tournaments.

Meanwhile, the CAB working committee will meet on May 26.
