Dipendu for Md. Sporting

Mohammedan Sporting confirmed Dipendu Biswas for the forthcoming season Thursday. He is likely to lead the team. Umesh Sharma signed for the black-and-white brigade from Mohun Bagan while Bhuvan Joshi was retained. Mohammedan Sporting’s Abeel Ibrahim signed for Mohammedan AC. But Mohammedan Sporting officials claimed he could not sign elsewhere because his deal with the club is not yet over and a protest will be lodged. Churchill Brothers defender Mahesh Gawli has signed for East Bengal.

Women’s league

Income Tax blanked Itika Memorial 17-0 in a IFA women’s league match Thursday, A. Sil scoring five. Bidyut Sporting were held 1-1 by Youth Footballers’ Association.

Roller skating
