who stay in a big city are expected to have some knowledge of traffic rules. Stringent
action should be taken for smooth running of traffic. Fines should be slapped
on jaywalkers not with the aim to fill government coffers but to teach the offender
and those watching a lesson they would remember. But if one has to consider the
state as a whole, 80 per cent of the intersections have neither zebra crossings,
not traffic lights nor cops on duty. In such cases, creating awareness is the
only option. |
