Roads to avoid

Deshapriya Park to Bijon Setu from 2.30 pm. Ananda Margis will take out a procession to commemorate the 1982 massacre of 17 Ananda Marga followers. EM Bypass, Park Circus connector, No. 4 Railway Bridge, Darga Road, New Park Street, Park Street, Park Circus crossing, Syed Amir Ali Avenue, Shakespeare Sarani, Mayo Road, Dufferin Road, Jenson & Nicholson island, JL Nehru Road, Cathedral Road, Queensway, Casuarina Avenue, Kidderpore Road Extn, Link Road, CIT Road, Hudco crossing and Durgapur Bridge. Movement of other vehicles and trams may also be diverted, if required.

Protest walk

Durbar Mahila Samanwaya Committee members will take out candlelight rallies from Abinash Kabiraj Lane and Prem Chand Boral Street at 10 pm to protest the Iraq war.

Child labour

A sit-and-draw contest and cultural programme for streetchildren, organised by World Vision of India to mark Child Labour Day, at Subarnabanik Samaj auditorium from 10 am.

Health fair

A health awareness fair, organised by Rotary Club of Calcutta Victoria, at Ice Skating Rink, 10 am-8 pm.
