Call for FDI reality check

New Delhi, April 28: Communications and information technology minister Arun Shourie today blamed foreign companies for not investing in India despite the conducive environment created by the government.

Shourie has asked his ministry to prepare a report on companies that had sought certain concessions for bringing in FDI and their action after the government approved those demands. Shourie also emphasised the need to woo the foreign investors in research and development.

The minister told a seminar organised by the department of information technology the government will set up an advanced institute of Micro and Nano technologies.
