India take 2-0 lead

Kathmandu: India rode on a fine knock by Y. Gnaneswara Rao to defeat Nepal by 67 runs on Sunday and take an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-match under-19 one-day cricket series.

In a match reduced to 25-overs a side due to rain in the morning, the Indians scored 146 runs. Gnaneswara Rao made 50 while captain Ambatti Rayudu contributed 19.

In reply, Nepal were restricted to 79 for seven in their quota of 25 overs. Abhishek Sharma claimed three for 11.
