Cash yield from texts, uniforms

Most English-medium schools direct guardians to buy textbooks from shops of their choice. These shops do not offer any discount, whereas the same books can cost much less if bought from a College Street shop. The schools also order students to get their uniforms from specific outlets. Why doesn’t the government look into these unhealthy sources of revenue'

The computerised railway reservation counter near Chittaranjan Avenue is not equipped to serve customers. An inquiry counter needs to be set up. More reservation counters are needed.
