Mohun Bagan in final

Mohun Bagan cruised into the final of the JC Mukherjee Trophy beating Eastern Railway by 180 runs Saturday. Chasing 335, Eastern Railway were all out for 154 in the second semi-final, off-spinner Sourashish Lahiri taking four for 59. Sanjoy Bhattacharya (67) fought a lone battle for Eastern Railway.

BRIEF SCORES: Mohun Bagan 334. ERSA 154 (Sanjoy Bhattacharya 67; Sourashish Lahiri 4/59, L.R. Shukla 2/13). Bagan won by 180 runs.

C4 triumph

Sudipta Mondal (57) and Mainak Mukherjee (56 n.o.) helped C4 beat Chandranath Chatterjee CCC by 19 runs in the N.C. Kolay memorial meet Saturday.

St James win

St James’ School beat Lycee by 43 runs in the Sahara Cup inter-school meet Saturday. Moinak Chowdhury (51) and Gaurav Khaitan (four for 18) were the star performers for the winners.

Bhujbal hattrick

Arun Bhujbal’s hattrick helped West Bengal Police blank Howrah Union 7-0 in a BHA Group A league match Saturday. Sanjib Chatterjee scored two while Joydeep Mukherjee and Gurupada Gope netted one each.

In another match, SAI beat CCFC 1-0, Hasseb Hossain being the scorer. FCI thrashed BSF North Bengal 4-2, G. Singh (2), Hardeep Singh and Jadin Surin scoring for the winners. S. Kerketta and E. Lakra scored for BSF.

Inter-club TT

Gourav Das and Piyal Das moved into the final of the junior boys’ category in the inter-club table tennis championships held at the Khudiram Anushilan Kendra Saturday.

State taekwondo

Three hundreds players The 15th state taekwondo championships will start at the Khudiram Anushilan Kendra next Friday. Three hundred players from 15 districts will take part in the two-day meet.
