Bagan in command

Mohun Bagan put themselves in good position in the second semi-finals of the J.C. Mukherjee Trophy against Eastern Railway at Eden Gardens on Friday. They made 334 for nine in 85 overs, Avishek Jhunjhunwala top-scoring with 61. Pranab Prasad had the best bowling figures of four for 102.

Satwinder hits 4

Calcutta Customs whipped BNR 4-0 in the first division group A match of the BHA League on Friday. Satwinder Singh scored all four goals.

Khalsa Blues blanked Howrah Union 10-0. Gurdip Singh (4), Mandir Singh (3), Sukhbir Singh, Amandeep Singh and Gurmit Singh were the scorers.

In group B, Dinesh Das and Prabhat Dev scored in Belgachia Unitedís 2-1 win over Vivid. Arup Das was Vividís scorer.
