Tollygunge beat East Bengal

Tollygunge Agragami secured a berth in the J.C. Mukherjee Trophy final Thursday with a massive 188-run win over East Bengal. Chasing a daunting 373 to win at Eden Gardens, East Bengal surrendered for 184 in 71.2 overs. Kunal Bajpayee was the most successful bowler with four for 53.

Hattrick by Ali

Left-arm spinner Saif Aliís fine spell powered Sports Lovers Association of Bengal (SLAB) into the pre-quarter finals of the Pepsi-CAB Ambar Roy Memorial sub-junior cricket tournament. Ali took seven for 13 including a hattrick. Metropolitan Magistrate also made the pre-quarters from another group. The list of qualifiers will be released Friday.

The BHA league first division group A match between BNR and Khalsa Blues ended 2-2. Shibram Barla and Arpan Kerketta scored for BNR with Gurpreet Singh and Gurmeet Singh doing the job for Khalsa Blues. The other match between SAI Training Centre and Eastern Railway ended goalless.
