Board exam for Class II

Calcutta, April 17: The government has made a departure from the Left Frontís avowed policy to keep primary students away from any sort of examination.

The West Bengal Board of Primary Education has decided to conduct a state-level examination for students of Class II in the 60,000 state-aided primary schools from this year.

The exams will be held on April 23 and 24, board president Jyoti Prakash Ghosh said today. Nearly 15 lakh students across the state will take the test.
