Castrol net profit up 18%

Mumbai, April 15: Castrol India Ltd has reported a 18.46 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 35.76 crore for the first quarter ended March 31 compared with Rs 30.14 crore in the previous corresponding period. Total income (net of excise) has decreased to Rs 250.39 crore in the period under review against Rs 264.44 crore in the first quarter of previous fiscal. The board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 12.50 per equity share.

HDFC Bank

Mumbai, April 15: HDFC Bank Ltd has reported a 30.48 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 387.6 crore for the fiscal ended March 31 compared with Rs 297.04 crore in the previous fiscal. The board has recommended a dividend of 30 per cent.

Dhirubhai offer

New Delhi, April 15: Reliance today said there would be no change in its tariff plan and customers would get STD facilities within its network at 40 paise a minute as part of the Dhirubhai Ambani Pioneer offer.

WCL turnover

Mumbai, April 15: Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) has reported a 5.52 per cent increase in turnover from Rs 3,627 crore (provisional) for the financial year 2002-03 against Rs 3,437 crore in the previous year.

Gillette range

Calcutta, April 15: Gillette India has launched its new-look 7 O’Clock Super Platinum double-edged blades to corner a larger market share. A pack of five such blades costs Rs 33.
