SANSKRIT DAY

April 8 at Sringeri Sri Sarada Peetham Sankara Hall, 93 Southern Avenue; 6.30 pm: Sanskrit Day Celebration 2003, organised by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Sankara Hall and Sankara Institute of Philosophy & Culture, Calcutta. Distinguished Sanskrit scholars will be felicitated on the occasion. Dr Pratap Chandra Chunder will preside.

IN MEMORIAM

April 10 at Jogesh Mime Academy; 6 pm: In memory of actress/ singer and exponent of theatre and folk songs Dr Geeta Sen, wife of renowned lighting consultant Tapas Sen, a special programme of music with Kabir Suman and Devajit Bandyopadhyay.
