New Delhi, April 4 (PTI): About a dozen renowned domestic and international merchant bankers, including State Bank of India, ABN-Amro, HSBC, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, ICICI Bank and Kotak Mahindra, are believed to have submitted bids to become the global adviser for the sale of 35.2 per cent stake in Bharat Petroleum Corporation through a public offer.

Sources said that in many cases merchant bankers had bid as a consortium.
