Pneumonia spreads in HK

Hong Kong, March 24 (Reuters): Hong Kong’s hospital chief has been hospitalised with symptoms of pneumonia, fuelling fear that a killer respiratory virus could be spreading faster in the territory than first thought. William Ho, chief executive of the Hospital Authority, was admitted yesterday, a government spokeswoman said.

A senior Hong Kong doctor blasted the government for not doing enough to contain the severe acute respiratory syndrome that has killed 18 people worldwide and infected hundreds.
