New Delhi, March 23 (PTI): Maruti Udyog has made its maiden foray into the commercial goods-carrying vehicle market with the launch of a cargo version of its Omni van in an attempt to tap the growing demand in the country.

The vehicle, priced at about Rs 2.22 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), would be targeted at courier firms, computer hardware suppliers, wholesale or retail shopkeepers, cloth merchants, delivery vans or caterers, officials said. Euro-II Omni Cargo would soon be made available at all Maruti dealerships.
