Rabindranath Tagore is part of the Bengali psyche. His writings touch the inner chord of every Bengali and his presence is felt everywhere, all our emotions are reflected in his writings. Rabindra Sadan, in association with EZCC and Department of Information and Culture, is jointly hosting a festival of Tagore’s plays. To be inaugurated today at 4 pm, the fest begins with a discussion by Tapas Sen, Pabitra Sarkar, Asoke Mukhopadhyay, Suman Mukhopadhyay, Kaushik Sen and Sanat Chatterjee, to be followed by the staging of Chokher Bali (picture; left) by Kushilav (today at 6.30 pm). The line-up for plays to be staged:Ghare Baire by Natyaranga (March 23 at 10 am), Raja by Blind Opera (March 24 at 6.30 pm), Puraskar by Swapnasandhani and Falguni (Suchona) by Chetana (March 25 at 6.30 pm), Daakghar by Sambarta and Taraprosonner Kirti by Shilpayon (March 26 at 6 pm), Kaler Yatra by Somikshan (March 27 at 6 pm) and Achalayatan by Chhandik (March 28).
