New Delhi, March 21 (PTI): Exports by public sector Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) are set to cross Rs 1000 crore during this fiscal with the company recording 48 per cent export growth in quantity terms.
In a statement the company said exports had touched Rs 400 crore during the last three months with shipments crossing one lakh tonnes during the December-February period.
The steel major also exported 7.45 lakh tonnes of steel during the first 11 months of the current fiscal, an increase of about 48 per cent over last fiscalís figures for the same period.
The monthly cash collections from overseas market soared to more than Rs 100 crore during the period.
The company also recorded the highest ever exports of HR coils, GP coils, wire rods and billets during the past three months.
