Stand-by plan for LPG
New Delhi, March 15: The government has begun drawing up contingency plans to avert any shortage of domestic cooking gas (LPG) as a result of go-slow agitation by employees of the country's largest oil company Indian Oil Corporation. State-owned Bharat Petroleum Corporation and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation have been asked to bridge the shortfall in supplies since Indian Oilís LPG bottling plants are supplying just around 50 per cent of their normal volumes in northern, western and southern regions.
Mumbai, March 15: Indiaís foreign exchange reserves continued to rise and grew by $ 863 million at $ 73,740 million during the week ended March 7. The country's foreign currency assets swelled by $ 863 million at $ 70,011 million, according to the Reserve Bank of India's weekly statistical supplement released here today.
Nicosia, March 15: Crude production from the Opec oil cartel soared 8.6 per cent or 2.217 million barrels a day in February to 27.88 million BPD, the Middle East Economic Survey reported.
