Crimson King shines

Calcutta: Crimson King and Calcutta were impressive from among the follwing horses seen exercising on Tuesday morning:

Outer sand track

1,600m: Athenai (C. Alford) in 2-8s; (600m) 47s; (400m) 32s. The were unextended.

1,400m: Inside Story (Shanker) and Romantic Notes (C. Alford) in 1-48s; (600m) 44s; (400m) 31s. Former strode out well to finish ahead by 6 lengths but the latter was very easy. Note latter for next week’s St Leger.

1,000m: Crimson King (Shanker) in 1-12s; (600m) 44s; (400m) 30s. Looking and working well. Calcuttan (Shanker) in 1-14s; (600m) 43s; (400m) 28s. May have a good show on Wednesday.

800m: Divine Spark (Gajender) in 1-1s; (600m) 46s; (400m) 32s.

600m: Tohfa (Smith) in 45s; (400m) 30s.

Sand track

800m: Timbavati (M. Reuben) in 53s; (600m) 38s; (400m) 25s. Moved attractively. Note as a coming winner.
