Facile win for CPT

Calcutta: Calcutta Port Trust earned a facile 3-0 win over WB Police in the BHA first division group A match at East Bengal ground on Saturday. Yusuf Bhengra scored a brace while M.P. Toppo netted the another for Port Trust, who totally dominated in the match.

In first division group B, Calcutta Rangers and Behala SC emerged winners. While Rangers routed Shanti Sangha 3-1, Behala scraped past Calcutta Parsee 1-0.

Kabaddi friendlies

A Japanese outfit got the better of the junior side of North 24 Parganas Kabaddi Association but drew with the senior side in friendly kabaddi ties at Dum Dum DSC ground on Saturday.

While the visitors made short work of the local junior side, whipping them 11-1, they faced stiff challenge from the senior side and settled for 4-4 verdict.
