Windies want Woolmer

Cape Town: The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has opened a dialogue with Bob Woolmer with a view to appointing him Roger Harper’s successor as coach.

“Yes, I’ve been approached and did interact with WICB officials in Kimberley this week. Of course, my mind isn’t made up. First, let them get back to me,” Woolmer told The Telegraph Friday morning.

Though Woolmer played for England in the mid-Seventies, he is best recognised as South Africa’s innovative and successful coach in the period 1993-1999.
