- Sachin, Rahul among 10 frontrunners

Cape Town: Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid have made the top 10 (average-wise) among batsmen after the league stage of the ongoing World Cup. As for the bowlers, though, nobody from India is in the top 10 — Zaheer Khan is at No. 11.

Among fielders, however, both Virender Sehwag and Dinesh Mongia (six catches each) are just behind Australian captain Ricky Ponting. And, among wicketkeepers, Dravid is joint third with Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara.

“I’m happy with the way things have gone,” is all that Dravid told The Telegraph, Wednesday afternoon, when asked if he was looking to finish the tournament as the No. 1 ’keeper.
