Ayodhya bench

New Delhi, March 3: A five-judge full Constitution bench of the Supreme Court, presided over by Justice S. Rajendra Babu, has been formed to hear the Ayodhya case from March 6.

Justices Syed Shah Mohammad Qadri, M.B. Shah, N. Santosh Hegde and Doraiswamy Raju are the others on the bench, which will decide the fate of the 67.703 acres of undisputed land acquired by the Union government around the disputed 2.77 acres at the Ayodhya complex. The Centre wants the apex court to vacate its March 2002 order that had prohibited “any kind of religious activity” even on the undisputed land.
