Pak tops airspace violation list

New Delhi, Mar. 3 (PTI): Aircraft originating from Pakistan were responsible for 11 of 26 airspace violations over India between January 2000 and February this year, civil aviation minister Shahnawaz Hussain told Lok Sabha today.

Aircraft from Nepal violated Indian airspace seven times, from Bangladesh and China three times each and Malaysia and North Korea once each, he said.

On February 3, a US-registered plane flying from Karachi violated Indian airspace after Karachi air traffic control guided it to fly over Mumbai, which was not available for civil operations, the minister said.
