Kalimpong shut, Sikkim cut off

Siliguri/Kalimpong, March. 2: Suspected Gorkha National Liberation Front cadre attacked rebel leaders participating in a rally at Teestabazar today, leaving four injured and sparking a protest strike in the Kalimpong sub-division.

The injured included the chief convener of the breakaway Gorkha National Liberation Front (C), D.K.Pradhan, brother of CK, the GNLF leader slain in Kalimpong last October. He was hospitalised. Sikkim was cut off by road from the rest of the country following the strike.
