Apprentice school for jockeys

Our Turf Correspondent in Calcutta adds: At a meeting of the Turf Authority of India (TOI) in Hyderabad on Monday, all heads of turf clubs agreed to the necessity of a central school for apprentice jockeys. All turf centres will contribute to the purpose, according to Vineet Verma, CEO, RCTC. He further informed that TOI may soon have a permanent secretariate. “Every Invitation Cup in future will also have a theme,” he added.
