Darjeeling Mail delayed

Bolpur, Feb. 22: The Sealdah-bound Darjeeling Mail was detained for nearly three hours at Mallarpur station near here when the driver detected a snag in the coupling between two coaches around 4.35 this morning, reports our correspondent.

Railway sources said the coupling between the fifth and sixth coaches from the engine had come loose.

The engine of the 21-bogie train was used to pull the faulty coach, a general compartment, into the station siding. The train left at 7.41 am after it brought the five bogies back to the rest of the coaches.

Several trains on the route were delayed due to the incident.
