Chaitali named captain

Chaitali Das will lead Bengal in the Federation Cup volleyball meet for women to be held in Kerala from February 8 to 16. The team, coached by Swapan Chatterjee, leaves station Wednesday.

Remembering Pankaj Roy

The Maidan Sports Welfare Association will organise a meeting in memory of Pankaj Roy at the Sporting Union tent Tuesday. Roy, who passed away two years ago, shared a world-record first-wicket Test stand of 413 with.
