Nagpur: Karnataka inflicted a huge 465-run defeat on Vidarbha to move into the final of the Ranji Trophy plate group Friday where they will take on Kerala. Both teams qualify for the elite group next season.

Replying to Karnataka’s mammoth second innings score of 607 for nine declared, the hosts managed 270 for eight with two batsmen unable to take the field due to injuries.

Karnataka made 364 in their first innings and Vidharbha replied with 236.

Left arm spinner Sunil Joshi (4/51) and off-spinner Udit Patel (4/100) ran through the Vidarbha middle-order after a reasonable start by the openers.
