Silicon Graphics forecast

Banking on a surge in demand from the oil and gas sector and media companies, data visualisation company Silicon Graphics India is expecting a growth of 30 per cent in 2003. “We had a growth rate of 23 per cent in 2002 and this year we are expecting a growth rate of 30 per cent as increased demand is seen from broadcasting, broadband, oil and gas sector and life sciences companies,” said Prakash Medury, managing director. SGI’s fiscal runs from July. As part of its expansion plans, the company intends to hire more people to expand its technical staff.

IndusInd Bank

IndusInd Bank has received the Reserve Bank of India’s permission to set up representative offices in Dubai and London.

L&T order

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has bagged a $ 32.5-million order from SPF-TKP OMIFPRO SNC, a joint venture of Snamprogetti, Italy and Technip Coflexip, France for supply of equipment to Oman India Fertiliser Company.

Videocon plan

Videocon International Ltd has launched the Khel Ke Dekho offer in view of the upcoming ICC World Cup Cricket.
