Mike Okoro to rejoin team in Bangalore

Mike Okoro, the Nigerian striker, is set to rejoin East Bengal in Bangalore before their National League match against HAL on Saturday. Okoro went on a vacation to England after the Durand Cup.

Meanwhile, East Bengal left the city without injured Gilmar Goncalves, Tushar Rakshit and Anit Ghosh, but hoping to continue their recent good show. Coach Subhas Bhowmick, however, took injured Dipankar Roy with the team, expecting him to do a Suley Musah-like comeback. An injured Musah was taken to New Delhi to practise with the team and thereafter, the Ghanaian made a thumping return to action in the IFA Shield.

Bhowmick, however, observed the National League was open. “With 14 more matches to go, the meet is very much open”, he said. East Bengal will also face ITI in Bangalore on next Wednesday.
