Wild card for Likhovtseva

New Delhi: Elena Likhovtseva, who won the Wimbledon mixed doubles crown with Mahesh Bhupathi, has been given the second wild card for the $140,000 WTA Indian Open scheduled in Hyderabad from February 3 to 8.

Likhovtseva, the 39th-ranked Russian, joins a star-studded line-up comprising two-time Grand Slam champion Mary Pierce, Tamarine Tanasugarn, Clarisa Fernandez and Iroda Tulyaganova, according to a media release from the organisers Wednesday. (pti)
