Motilal, Sangeeta champions

Bengalís Motilal Sabar and Sangeeta Samanta won all the four distance categories and emerged overall champions in the 19-year boys and girls sections (FITA Round), respectively, in the 48th National School Games archery at SAI Complex on Friday. Navaneeta Ghatak in under-17 girls and Ranjana Roy in girlsí under-14 categories also gave Bengal gold.

CLW meet

Simjuri Bangla Medium School pipped Chittaranjan HS for the overall title in the inter-primary school annual meet in CLW on Friday. Chotelal Soren and Tanuka Das won the 100m race in the boys and girls (upto 12 years) categories, respectively.

University yoga

Calcutta University emerged overall champions in menís category while their girls finished third in the all-India inter-university yoga meet, held in Amritsar from January 7 to 10.

Double-wkt meet

FCI team, comprising Devang Gandhi and Joydeep Mukherjee triumphed over CESC team of Sanjib Goel and Suman Chakraborty in the final of the Whytehall 5 Cup inter-office double wicket meet on Friday.

State judo

About 200 judokas will take part in the state championships, starting at Agarpara Saturday.

CRICKET: Inter-school (under 16) meet at various grounds from 8 am and 12.30 pm.

CHESS: State meet at Khudiram Anushilan Kendra from 9 am.

ATHLETICS: North 24 Pgs annual meet at Ishapore Metal and Steel Factory complex from 10am.

JUDO: State championships at Mahajati, Agarpara from 11 am.
