New Delhi: The Samsung India cricket ratings for the year 2002 and names of the Indian top-rankers were released Friday.

On the basis of last year’s performances, Virender Sehwag was chosen as the best Indian batsman in ODIs and Rahul Dravid in Test cricket. Harbhajan Singh bagged the best bowler’s award in both versions of the game.

In international ratings, Australia was adjudged the best team in Tests and ODIs. The best ODI batsman was Yousuf Yuhana of Pakistan and the best ODI bowler was South African captain Shaun Pollock.

Australian players shared the best Test batsman (Mathew Hayden) and bowler awards (Shane Warne).

Six of the Team Samsung members, Dravid, Sehwag, Harbhajan, Anil Kumble, Jawagal Srinath and Mohammed Kaif attended the function. The seventh member, Dinesh Mongia, missed his flight and could not attend.
