Philips colour TVs to be cheaper

New Delhi, Jan. 15: Philips India plans to slash the prices of its colour television (CTV) sets by almost 10-12 per cent across all categories, sparking a price war a month before the World Cup cricket tournament in South Africa.

“We will have new price points across all our categories of televisions. We hope this will make us more competitive in the price-conscious market,” Suresh Sukamaran, senior general manager marketing (TV) at Philips India, told The Telegraph.

Philips also launched its latest Pixel Plus technology in its top-line flat television range.
