Living Gods on Earth

(Indian Museum, January 16 - 24) lThe exhibition of photographs by Dr Cornelia Mallebrein focuses on gods vital in day-to-day life in India. It is divided into four sections highlighting 10 characteristic topics from Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka and Orissa. Mrinal Sen will inaugurate the show on January 15 at 5 pm.

A Culture of Peace

(Swabhumi & other venues, January 14-19) lThe six-day showcase will give the city a feel of Manipur in all its cultural colours. While a film festival will continue on the side, artistes will perform Kabui, Mao and Thang-ta (above) dances, courtyard theatre and recite poetry.
