FILM SHOW

January 4 at Nandan II; 6.30 pm: British Council hosts a screening of Road to Ladakh (starring Koel Puri and Irfan Khan), a feature film directed by Ashvin Kumar. The screening will be followed by a short interaction with the director.

January 1 - January 3 at Cossipore Udyanbati; 4 am onwards: The Kalpataru Utsav of Bhagavan Sri Sri Ramakrishna Dev will be celebrated with a host of programme including Bhajans, Kirtans, devotional songs, religious discourses, meetings, instrumental music, classical dance recital, plays and Jatra. January 1at Tilottama Bhavan, 10, Raja S.C. Mullik Road; 5 am onwards: On the occasion of Kalpataru Utsav of Bhagavan Sri Sri Ramakrishna Dev, Sree Ramakrishna Akhanda Mandal has organised a day-long programme. Beginning with Mangal Aarati, puja, yajna, the programme will also have discourses, devotional music and readings from holy texts. January 4 at Kala Mandir; 5.30 pm: Sterling Management presents a cultural programme in aid of Bharat Sevashram Sangha. Participants include: Soumitra Chattopadhyay, Bangla band Bhoomi and Swagata Lakshmi Dasgupta. January 5 at Gyan Manch; 6.30 pm: Pallabi’s 7th annual cultural show will be held.
