Calcutta: Mukesh Kumar stamped his class on the Rs 16-lakh Dutch-Bangla Bank Open when he shot a brilliant seven-under 65 to take the lead at the halfway stage, Thursday.
According to information received here, Mukesh was seven-under 137 after two rounds, one stroke ahead of overnight leader Uttam Singh Mundy, who added a two-under 70 to his overnight 68 for a six-under 138.
Unheralded local pro Mohammed Ismail returned a sub-par card on the second successive day to occupy the third place at 139. Digvijay Singh and Naman Dawar were joint fourth at 140.
