DEBATE

Today at Vidya Mandir; 4 pm: Birla High School presents the national final of the 3rd Inter Institutional L.N. Birla National Debate on the topic, In the opinion of the house, the religious schism in India cannot bond with secularism, to be followed by a panel discussion.

Till today at Indian Museum Asutosh Birth Centenary Hall; 12 noon - 7 pm: An exhibition of photographs by children. Organised by Durbar Mahila Samanwaya Committee and supported by UNICEF. Till December 15 at Gaganendra Shilpa Pradarshashala; 3 pm - 8 pm: Nritya Ek Prajanma Theke Aar Ek Prajanma — An exhibition of photographs tracing the history of dance over the past 75 years. Concept: Aditya Mitra.

FESTIVAL

SEMINAR

December 14 at the Physics Lecture Theatre, Presidency College; 3 pm: As part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, Presidency College Alumni Association presents a series of seminars. The first of these will be in memory of Amulyadhan Mukherjee, eminent scholar of Bengali and English literature. The speakers are Arun Kumar Mukhopadhyay, Jayati Gupta, Jibendu Ray and Tarunkanti Ray. Dr Pratap Chandra Chunder will grace the occasion.

EXHIBITION

Till December 16 at Swabhumi - The Heritage Plaza: Dastkari Bazaar showcasing a riot of crafts combining the colours, skills and motifs of 35 of its traditional groups from all over India. Also, a range of garments, soft furnishings, jewelry, toys, leather, pottery, paintings, and gift and decorative items.

BOOK FAIR
