The stretch of AJC Bose Road between Rabindra Sadan and Calcutta Club. All vehicular traffic will remain suspended for the construction of a flyover in the area.

Japan music

Tsugaru Shamisen & Wadaiko, a recital of Japanese three-string, guitar and drum, at GD Birla Sabhagar, 6.30 pm.

Green show

A cultural programme organised by Green Club in aid of underprivileged students of Ballygunge Prathamik Vidyalaya at Aban Mahal, 7 pm. A mime show by Kamal Naskar will follow.

Films

Daughters of the 73rd Amendment, Nasreen O Nasreen, Bol and 43 Square Metres of Germany will be screened as part of the international fortnight to protest violence against women at Max Mueller Bhavan, 5.30 to 7.30 pm.

An exhibition on icons and symbols of Indian art, Brahma to Bapu, at CIMA Gallery, 3 pm to 7 pm. Aparna Sen to inaugurate an exhibition of paintings and sculptures of Sipra Bhattacharya at Birla Academy of Art & Culture, 6 pm. A panel exhibition of contemporary Japanese architecture, 1985-1996, at Nehru Children’s Museum, 1 pm to 7 pm. An exhibition of paintings based on the Madhubani style of Bihar by Neelkant Chowdhury, at The Address, 11 am-7 pm. A ceramics show by Aditi Saraogi at Saraogi Park, presented by Bhukriti, 10 am to 6 pm.
