Burdwan, Dec. 4: A gang of 10 looted money worth lakhs and jewellery from a market at Kusum village in the Monteshwar police station area this evening.

The dacoits entered a co-operative bank by cutting open its shutter and ransacked it. They then looted four jewellery, three stationary and several garment shops at gun point for over half-an-hour.

Senior police officers, including the circle officer of Kalna, rushed to the spot. Traders blocked roads in the area demanding immediate arrests.
