Films

A film festival on women’s issues at Max Mueller Bhavan, organised by Swayam, 5.30 pm to 7 pm. Ek Potlu Beek Nu, I>Still Killing Us Softly and Bol will be screened.

Shakespeare

The drama department of Rabindra Bharati University will present the Malvolio episode from Twelfth Night in jatra form, as part of the World Shakespeare Conference at Jorasanko Thakurbari, 4 pm onwards.

Art on view

An exhibition on icons and symbols of Indian art, Brahma to Bapu, at CIMA Gallery, 3-7 pm. A panel exhibition of contemporary Japanese architecture, 1985-1996, at Nehru Children’s Museum, 1 pm to 7 pm.

Disabled day

Loreto Day School, Sealdah, will observe International Disabled Day from 11 am to 1 pm. A free medical check-up camp will be followed by entertainment programmes. Bodhona will observe World Disabled Day at Chakpachuria, in Rajarhat, from 11 am. Former mayor Kamal Basu and educationist Pratap Chandra Chunder will attend.

Healing test

The healing powers of the rudraksha will be tried on animals at Ashari, the hospital run by People for Animals, at 10 am.
