East Bengal emerge winners

East Bengal won their two-day CAB first division league game against YMCA by a handsome 87 runs on Sunday.

Batting first, East Bengal had declared their innings after notching up 325 for six on Sunday morning. Saikat Mukherjee (79), Naushad Akhtar (57) were the notable contributors.

In reply, the YMCA innings folded up for 238 runs, Ajoy Das running through it with a haul of six for 68. Pradipta Mazumdar took three for 63.

In another match Mohammedan Sporting beat Grorge Telegraph by 175 runs, Akhilesh Kushwaha picking up six for 72.
