Bhupathi to team up with Woodbridge

New Delhi: Doubles ace Mahesh Bhupathi has confirmed that he will be teaming up with Australian great Todd Woodbridge in the doubles event of the Tata Open in Chennai from December 30.

Bhupathi was quoted as saying in a press release that he was excited about playing with Woodbridge and was looking forward to winning his fifth title in the Chennai ATP meet.

“Todd is one of the greatest doubles players of all time and I am really excited that we will be playing together,” Bhupathi said.

“The crowd in Chennai has always been great and I am looking forward to going for my fifth title there,” said Bhupathi. All his four titles in Chennai have come with Leander Paes — in 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2001.

Bhupathi and Woodbridge have, between them, won over 80 ATP doubles titles including 24 Grand Slam crowns.
